Dartford warmed up for next weekend’s National South play-off encounter with a win at Boreham Wood.

Their opponents are facing a play-off campaign of their own with a match against Halifax Town on Friday night.

Steve King’s Dartford side are up against Slough Town on Sunday, April 19, their game at the Arbour Park kicking off behind closed doors at 3pm.

The Darts fielded a different team in each half for the match and clinched a 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Charlie Sheringham which was described by the club as a brilliant finish.

Dartford’s match against Slough is, they hope, the first of three in the play-offs. If they win all three of those games they will win promotion to the National League.

The winners of next Sunday’s game travel to Havant & Waterlooville for the semi-final. The victors of that match will then meet either Weymouth, Bath or Dorking in the final.
