Ryan Hayes believes Dartford’s team spirit can help drag them out of relegation trouble.
Darts have trailed in their last two games but recovered to draw them, with Hayes the catalyst for both comebacks.
He scored one goal in their 2-2 draw against FC Halifax in the FA Trophy before netting twice in Saturday’s clash with Bristol Rovers, which also finished 2-2.
Tony Burman’s side remain seven points from safety in the Vanarama Conference but they still have time to get out of trouble.
Hayes said: "The team spirit has showed in the last couple of weeks – we just need to start picking up points.
"We know we’ve got ourselves in a bit of bother and it’s only us that can get us out of that."
Hayes’ second against Rovers was a wonderful free-kick which stands alongside his very best strikes in a Dartford shirt.
He said: "I put it down and I said to Nobes (Lee Noble) ‘do you want it?’ and he said ‘no, just hit it’.
"I was going to curl it over the wall but they never reach the goal when I do that so I thought I’d lace it.
"It silenced their fans, that’s what makes it even better. When there’s a big crowd and the away support is getting on our backs, we like to prove people wrong."
