Zheng sees red in Olympics

Charlton midfielder Zheng Zhi could be making an earlier than expected return from the Olympic Games after being sent off playing for China in their second Group C match against Belgium.

China captain Zheng was shown a red card on the hour after elbowing a Belgium player. China finished the match, which Belgium won 2-0, with nine players after Tan Wangsong had been ordered off 10 minutes earlier.

To stand any chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages, China must beat Brazil in Wednesday's final group game. On his return, Zheng is sure to find himself in demand with three Premier League clubs, including West Bromwich Albion, keen to sign him.
