Bromley manager Mark Goldberg continued overhauling his first team squad with the weekend signing of defender Liam Harwood from Carshalton.

Goldberg, who has not let the grass grow under his feet since returning to Hayes Lane, snapped up Harwood just as Bristol Rovers had expressed an interest in the player who could fill Bromley's left-back berth.

"Liam is someone I've been after for a while," said Goldberg. "He's young and a great addition to our defence. I'm especially pleased to have signed him as Bristol Rovers had expressed an interest.

Harwood, 20, followed strikers Jay May and Warren McBean into Hayes Lane plus former Shrewsbury central defender Karl Murray, all in the space of 48 hours.
