Dartford could have a full-time manager in Conference Premier next season.
Tony Burman (pictured) has led the club to three promotions in the last six seasons and guided Darts to eighth place in non-league’s top flight this term.
Full-time football is being discussed at Princes Park and although Burman will operate with semi-professional players again next season, his own role may change.
He said: "The club are talking to me and asking me whether that’s a possibility. I am considering it. We’ll have a good think about it because you have to start somewhere.
"In all honesty, since I’ve been here, if you look at the hours I put in as a part-time manager, I am full-time anyway.
"It’s like a drug, you keep coming back for more. Sometimes, I think why don’t managers at the top of the tree pack up and try something else, but it doesn’t happen in football."
Burman has already mooted the idea of a gradual progression from part-time to full-time football, which would avoid quality players unable to commit to professional status being forced out of the club.
