Winger Luke Daley has done his chances of earning a deal at Dartford no harm at all this week.
The 24-year-old, who spent the last two seasons with Braintree Town, played 113 minutes across the Darts’ first two pre-season friendlies.
Daley came on for the second half of Saturday’s game at Thurrock, playing on the right wing and then started wide on the left against Millwall on Tuesday night.
Dartford boss Tony Burman said: "He’s done well. He’s got a little bit of pace about him and he’s a fit lad. We wanted to try him on both sides to see what he’s like and I’ve been impressed with him. I’m pleased with what we’ve seen so far."
Daley is one of four trialists Dartford are looking at. Fellow winger Jordan Adekunle and strikers Dan Thompson and Tom Derry are also hoping to impress Burman.
Burman said: "Dan Thompson is a lad I spoke to in the summer. He’s come over and wanted to train with us.
"Tom Derry’s first training session was last Tuesday night. He was at Gillingham and with Eastbourne last year. He’s a younger lad, with potential more than anything else at this stage.
"Jordan Adekunle is a lad who was at Ipswich, he had a two-year deal there and he’s just been released."
