Under-fire Dartford boss Tony Burman insists his team will emerge stronger from their rocky run in National League South.
Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Wealdstone was the Darts’ fourth straight defeat and it saw them drop to 14th – their lowest position since the opening day of the season.
This poor run has prompted plenty of supporters to call for a change of manager but Burman has the board’s backing and he is prepared to work through the difficulties.
Burman said: "We’re all frustrated and unhappy with the results but we’ve got to come through this hard time.
"Yes, you get some stick and it’s not very pleasant but it’s all part and parcel of football.
"You have to take responsibility and get on with it. I accept that people are frustrated and disappointed but they are no more disappointed than I am."
Developing young players is the big theme at Dartford this season and Burman is confident those in his first team will realise their potential if given sufficient backing.
He said: "We’ve got to understand where we are at the moment and we’ve got to get behind people.
"There are young players in the team and they’re a bit shot at the moment because of what they might have heard around the place. They’re under a little bit of pressure.
"They get confidence from training and the dressing room but they’ve got to learn about the bigger picture and get used to playing in front of bigger crowds.
"There is pressure that comes with that and I’m sure they will get past this stage."
