Burnley v Charlton
Charlton paid a high price for Tuesday's 1-0 defeat of Crystal Palace _ their first win in 19 Coca-Championship games _ with the loss of Jonathan Fortune.
The central defender limped off on the hour with a ruptured Achilles that keeps him out of Saturday's trip to Burnley and possibly for the rest of the season.
Manager Phil Parkinson responded to Fortune's injury by stepping up his interest in Hull City defender Wayne Brown who played under him at Colchester.
If Hull cannot sell him, they may allow him to join Charlton on loan.
If the club are unable to sign a central defender, Matt Holland, who replaced Fortune on Tuesday, could start in central defence.
"Losing Jon is a big blow because he had one of his best games for us against Palace," said Parkinson.
"It's a blow for him and for the club."
On-loan right-back Graeme Murty from Reading is doubtful after suffering a recurrence of a shin injury against Palace.
Skipper and central defender Mark Hudson is also doubtful with an ankle injury.
"The players know we've got 18 games to save ourselves and against Palace we took a first step along that road," said Parkinson.
"Now we have to build on that performance at Burnley on Saturday."
The match marks a return to Turf Moor of former Burnley top-scorer Andy Gray who moved to Charlton for £2 million on a three-and-a-half year contract in January last year.
Fellow striker Stuart Fleetwood has returned to Charlton after a spell on loan at Brighton.
