Guy Luzon was left disappointed that his side conceded a late goal to deny him a victory in his first home game against Rotherham on Saturday, writes Josh Fordham

Jordan Cousins looked to have snatched three points with the Addicks’ first league goal since Boxing Day before Danny Ward equalised in injury time to deny the home a first win in 11.

Luzon said: “After we led the game 1-0 five minutes from the end of course we are disappointed but it is part of the game.

“We are a defensive side, we organised well until the last minute. After two months without a win we dropped too low and in the last five minutes they had chances to score.

“When we lead games we need to be able defend and be in the position and not go so low.

“We organised well in the last two games. We knew the opponent would play a lot of long balls and we were ready for the second balls. We knew they would play to their tall guys and we were ready for it.”

The Israeli boss said the side are lacking a lot of confidence - especially in attack - and hopes to make new additions to the squad before the transfer window shuts.

“After two months without three points of course we are lacking a bit of confidence in attack because also in the last 10 or 11 games we didn’t score many but after we score we need to keep it.

“I hope we will recruit another two players but we will see if we have the time. In football until it is done it means nothing.”
