Dartford have sold influential midfielder Noor Husin to National League Southend United for an undisclosed fee.
The Darts have cashed in on their prize asset, who was out of contract at the end of the season, who has penned a two and a half year deal at Roots Hall.
Husin, who joined the Darts from Stevenage in February 2020, is relishing the new challenge.
"I’m delighted to be here," Husin told Southend's website. "It took I while but I’m so happy it’s all done.
"I knew they had been watching me, the gaffer and John Still who got in contact with me, and I was really keen as soon as I heard.
"I’ve played at a decent level previously and hopefully coming to Southend I can help and bring my qualities to the team.
"The gaffer has been very positive, everyone knows it’s a massive club. He played for the club himself so he told me everything about it.
"The club is trying to go places, move in the right direction and do the right things and hopefully I can be part of that."
Husin departs with Dartford fifth in National League South, nine points behind leaders Dorking Wanderers but with two games in hand.
Dartford issued a statement following Husin's departure.
It read: "We never like losing any of our best players however, an approach has been made by Southend United for Noor Husin.
"Noor has been with us since signing in February 2020 from League Two Stevenage and has never hidden his desire to return to full-time football and is very keen to make this move at the present time.
"Southend United made contact with us with a bid to sign Noor and they have now come up with an offer which we feel compensates the club for the loss of such an influential player, whose contract ends at the end of this season.
"As a club, we have never stood in the way of a player who wishes to develop their career and progress to a higher level.
"We would like to thank both Southend United and Noor Husin for the way they have conducted themselves in this matter and wish Noor the very best for the future."
Dartford are at home to Hampton & Richmond Borough in National League South this Saturday.
