Ten-man Dartford hung on for a valuable point in their battle to avoid relgation from the Vanarama Conference.
Dartford's away clash at play-off-chasing FC Halifax was always going to be a tough away day but, after a quiet opening, it got even tougher on 19 minutes when they were reduced to 10 men.
Lee Burns brought down Halifax's Richard Peniket after he was put through from a fine through ball by Scott Boden and, as last man, he was shown the red card.
From the resulting free-kick Peniket grazed the top of the bar.
He proved to be a threat for the home side, firing just wide after a fine turn and run forward.
Dartford tried to get forward on the break and Andy Pugh got in down the right, but his dangerous cross was headed behind for a corner.
At the other end Danny Hattersley headed over from a good position as Dartford hung on in the first half.
Tony Burman's men continued to battle in the second half, restricting the home side to shots from distance.
And when the home side did get a decent shot on target, through Matty Pearson, Whites keeper Jason Brown was equal to it, with a fine save.
However, the point means Dartford are now eight points from safety following Altrincham's win against Kidderminster.
