Dartford sign off their maiden Blue Square Bet Premier campaign on Saturday night in front of the supporters who have followed them up and down the country.

The hardcore Darts fans who have been to every away game this season will have covered 8,600 miles to support their side.

Meanwhile, home gates have averaged 1,343 at Princes Park and manager Tony Burman (pictured) is eager to repay the club’s loyal following when Nuneaton Town visit on the last day of the season (5.15pm).

He said: "They’ve stuck with us. The supporters who have travelled to the away games have been so fantastic, especially in the big venues.

"To do that, week in, week out, is outstanding. It’s a fantastic amount of money and effort they’ve put in and it shows what a fantastic club this is."

While the Darts are comfortably safe and already looking ahead to next season, they will not be lacking motivation on Saturday.

Tuesday’s 3-2 win at Forest Green means Burman’s side will end the season as the country’s highest-ranked part-time side. Victory over Nuneaton could even see them leapfrog Hereford and finish sixth in the fifth tier of English football.
