Dartford face their 10th game in 36 days this weekend and manager Tony Burman admits the gruelling fixture schedule is taking its toll on his part-time squad.

The visit of Solihull Moors to Princes Park in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday is the Darts’ third cup tie this week.

Sunday’s exhausting FA Cup clash at Bradford was followed by a Kent Senior Cup game at Gillingham last night (Wednesday). That double-header had been preceded by six league games in the three weeks which followed Darts’ FA Cup win at Bromley on November 8.

Burman said: "It’s the amount of games we had to play between the two FA Cup rounds. It seems strange, when we’re not behind on our fixtures. When you’ve got a small squad, it takes its toll.

"I was always concerned going into the Bradford game because of the amount of matches we had leading up to it. We had Forest Green and Eastleigh away and they’re difficult games.

"Look at the Forest Green game. We got back off the coach at 10pm on Saturday and I didn’t see the guys again until 3pm on Tuesday. A couple of them had to make their own way (to Eastleigh) from work – Elliot (Bradbrook) and Danny (Harris) managed to get there from work by 6.30pm.

"It’s no-one’s fault but people have got to realise it’s different being a part-time club in this league."

Callum Driver returns for Dartford against Solihull after being cup-tied at Bradford but otherwise Burman’s squad is likely to be unchanged. Harry Crawford (groin) has a small chance of being involved but Lee Burns (calf) and Andy Pugh (groin) both remain sidelined.
