Deren Ibrahim could be Dartford's first-choice goalkeeper next season.
The 23-year-old spent last season on dual-registration with Leatherhead, helping the Tanners win promotion through the Ryman League Division 1 South play-offs.
And that followed play-off success with Maidstone United in the same division the season before.
Ibrahim, who came through Dartford's youth set-up, was previously loaned out to Sittingbourne, and he now coaches at both the QPR and Dartford academies.
And with last season's Darts No.1 Alan Julian having left the club to sign for Sutton United this week, Ibrahim is likely to figure more prominently in Conference South next season.
Manager Tony Burman said: "There is an option with Deren. I’ve looked after Deren for a few years.
"He’s won the Ryman South with Maidstone, when he played the majority of the games, and he played near enough all the games for Leatherhead last season when they got promoted.
"He’s been promoted the last two years and he will be considered. The experience he’s gained over the last couple of years will help him a lot in his career."
Ibrahim is one of several young players Burman has loaned out to get experience of senior football.
He said: "We’ve done it with one or two of our academy players over the last couple of years. All the pro clubs send their young players out on loan, that’s how it works.
"Deren could have been on our bench, we could have taken him round with us, but he wouldn’t have gained that experience."
Ibrahim has played 13 times for the Dartford first-team. His only two appearances during the 2013/14 campaign were in the Kent Senior Cup ties against Welling and Charlton.
