Two signings on the eve of the new season look to have solved Dartford’s full-back problems.
Mark Onyemah has signed on loan from Luton while Marvin Hamilton is also set to join the squad subject to international clearance.
Onyemah will start at left-back against Hemel Hempstead on Saturday as summer signing Danny Fitzsimons faces up to a year on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, the right-back slot could be Hamilton’s because Lee Burns is unfit after missing the whole of pre-season and academy graduate Ronnie Vint (groin) is an injury doubt.
Dartford boss Tony Burman said: "We’ve had some hiccups in the last couple of weeks, which have knocked us.
"Lee Burns has been unable to train because he’s been out of the country, which wasn’t planned and it’s put a dampener on things.
"Danny Fitzsimons has got a knee injury which is probably going to keep him out for a long time. We’re talking a lot of months, possibly the season because he’s got to have an operation.
"It’s a recurrence of a tear in the same knee and that’s when football is sad. It can be devastating for a player when injuries occur.
"We’ve had to add Mark to the squad because of Danny’s injury – we didn’t have a left-back.
"Paperwork permitting, Mark will be with us from Saturday and hopefully he can do a good job.
"Marvin played in America and we’re waiting on some clearance for a registration for him so I’m not too sure whether that’s going to come in time."
