Football returns to Princes Park on Saturday when Dartford host AFC Wimbledon in their opening pre-season friendly.
The fixture is the first of three the Darts have arranged against League 2 opposition this summer.
Wimbledon, who preserved their Football League status on the final day of last season, requested the game be brought forward three days from its original date and Dartford manager Tony Burman was happy to oblige.
“We spoke to Wimbledon during the season and we invited them over because of the connection we’ve had with loan deals,” he said, referring to Jason Prior’s one-month stay at the end of last season.
“It’s a club that’s never been to Princes Park before and good opposition for us. I’m pleased the club has been able to come over and hopefully we can build a relationship.”
The Dons squad should include former Darts striker Charlie Sheringham, who joined Neal Ardley’s side after being released by AFC Bournemouth.
Dartford’s part-time players will be pushed hard over the next few weeks, with Dagenham & Redbridge (July 13) and Southend (July 23) also visiting Princes Park.
