Tony Burman insists Dartford will not underestimate lower-league Uxbridge in the FA Cup on Saturday.

With 44 league places between the clubs, Darts go into the second qualifying round tie at Princes Park as clear favourites.

Uxbridge are 11th in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 Central and their only away win so far this season came in the previous round at Heybridge.

But boss Burman said: "I’m not taking anything lightly and we’ll have a full squad to pick from.

"They’re important games for us. We all want to be in the FA Cup, the fans want to be in the FA Cup and there is the prize money which is important.

"The last thing I want is for people to think we’re not taking it seriously or that we’re not going to give them the respect which they deserve.

"Yes, they’re in a lower league but they’re going to come here and probably love playing here. We will do our utmost to beat them and get through to the next round."

Dartford could welcome back winger Jack Simmons (ankle) and midfielder Barry Cogan (shoulder) after both missed the 1-0 league defeat at home to Truro on Saturday.

Burman admitted: "Jack has been a big miss for us.

"We’ve got to create more in this game than we did on Saturday.

"I’m looking for a little bit of desire. Players’ heads can go down a little bit sometimes when things are not going for them and you don’t want too many like that.

"You have to lift them and we have to lift (the fans) here, at the ground, at home.

"There’s still a cloud, after what’s happened to us over the last two years, and the sooner that goes and people move on, the sooner we can get a more positive attitude around the place."
