Dartford suffered their seventh straight Skrill Premier defeat on Saturday as their relegation worries increased.
They were beaten by a Jon Nurse goal at Barnet, although the home side finished with 10 men after player-manager Edgar Davids was sent off for the second time this season.
Dartford settled well at The Hive and captain Elliot Bradbrook (pictured) almost put them ahead after capitalising on a defensive error by Curtis Weston.
But the Bees struck on the half-hour. Keanu Marsh-Brown delivered a cross from the right and Nurse steered it beyond Darts keeper Phil Smith.
Luke Gambin missed a great chance to kill the game off midway through the second period, before Davids was shown a second yellow card for dissent.
Tony Burman's side pressed hard for an equaliser in the closing stages but they found Barnet keeper Graham Stack in excellent form.
This result, Dartford's second defeat to Barnet in as many weeks, leaves the north Kent club two points from safety at the halfway stage of the season.
