Striker Harvey Bradbury is set to join Dartford on a permanent basis next season.

Bradbury netted six times for the Darts after joining on loan from Dorchester in March and manager Alan Dowson is confident he’ll remain at Princes Park.

“Harvey will sign,” stated Dowson. “He hasn’t yet but he will do. I’ve spoken to the lad, he loved the club and it won’t be a problem.

“He scored a few good goals and did ever so well for us. He’ll put pen to paper.”

Midfielder Jordan Wynter, another player who impressed Dowson this season, is expected to remain at Princes Park while the Dartford boss confirmed that he wants long-serving captain Tom Bonner to stay at the club.

“We’ve got to see what happens, Tom needs to think about what he wants to do,” said Dowson.

“I would desperately like to keep him, I get on very well with the lad and he was my player-of-the-year.

“He’s been excellent for the club and I’d rather have him at the club than not have him here.”

Dan Roberts, who spent most of last season away from Dartford on loan with Hungerford, and Kristian Campbell have already confirmed their departures.

There will be more to follow as Dowson reshapes his squad, aware that they didn’t meet expectations in the second half of the season.

“By Monday I’ll know a lot more because they need time as well,” said Dowson.

“The players had a night out last Saturday and the last thing I wanted to do was talk to them before that as it would have been unfair. They should have been talking about the season they had rather than who is being released.

“We’ve got to kick on. We’re talking to players in the next few days and hoping to get some signed as well. We finished second in the table but if you look at it from Christmas onwards we probably finished about 11th.

“There’s some work to do. We were winning a game, losing a game, so I’ve got to look at that and make some changes.

“It’s one of them where I’m not looking to get rid of everybody as they’ve done great for the football club. I’ll be talking to players this week and then it’s up to them to make decisions.

“I think you’ve always got to be clear. We were excellent on the last day of the season but the week before that we were getting beat by Concord. The table doesn’t lie.

“We over-achieved as a club, everyone will admit that, but I’ve got to make some decisions. I’ll be wrong with a couple I’d imagine and I’ll be right with a couple. I just feel we need a change at the club.”
