Fit-again Duane Ofori-Acheampong has seen enough to know Dartford can win the National League South title this season.
The striker had knee surgery in the summer and missed the first eight weeks of the campaign but has featured in the Darts’ last two games.
Ofori-Acheampong won two player-of-the-year awards last season and now he’s keen to help fuel another promotion push.
He said: "Getting so close, making the play-offs and it not going our way, we’ve all felt the taste of wanting to win something.
"We know we’re capable and the squad we have now is ridiculous. Competition for places is proper, in every area, even at centre-back with Ronnie Vint and Richard Sho-Silva.
"We’ve got quality everywhere and it’s good coming into a squad that’s doing well. Everyone has to up their game when people are getting back fit.
"It’s exciting knowing that even with the start we’ve had, a lot of players have been out and we haven’t had everyone fully fit. There’s still a lot more to come from our side.
"Every team goes through dips where you have injuries. We had ours at the start of the season and coped with it well.
"If we can continue to do what we’re doing and people are coming back to full fitness, we’re just going to get stronger.
"Now we’ve got to start playing a few of the big teams in our league so it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
"I’ve still got a way to go but it’s always good to get little bits here and there to get the taste for it again."
