Kent Exiles American Football Club are celebrating receiving a substantial financial boost from the Kent Council Youth Opportunity Fund.

The fund was set up to help young people and specifically accepts applications from youngsters.

Four members of the Exiles completed the application. One of them, linebacker Gary Owens said: "The fund has certainly worked and I'm now working for the club committee to ensure the money is well spent."
