KENT’S former BDO world champion Andy Fordham is making a comeback to top-level darts.

Fordham, from Dartford, has accepted an invitation to compete at the Winmau World Masters in Bridlington in November.

He took part in his first event for eight months at the Turunc Open in Turkey earlier this month when he reached the semi-finals.

The popular publican became ill at the Lakeside World Championships in January leading to a spell out of the sport.

But he is now ready to return and ultimately have another shot the title he won eight years ago.
