Charlton Athletic have made their second signing of the summer, securing the services of French midfielder El-Hadji Ba from Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
Ba has signed a three-year deal at The Valley having made just three appearances for the Black Cats since joining from Le Havre in 2013.
The 22-year old midfielder scored on his Sunderland debut in a 3-1 FA Cup win over Carlisle in January 2014, but was sent out on loan to Ligue 1 side Bastia last season where a broken leg restricted him to seven first team games.
Having returned to full fitness, Ba is keen on making up for lost time under Addicks boss Guy Luzon.
"It's very nice to be a Charlton player and I'm very happy to be here,” he said.
"It was a little bit difficult at Sunderland. I was young and didn't have a lot of time on the pitch, but now I am older and ready to fight at Charlton."
Ba’s signing marks the second new face to arrive at Charlton ahead of the new season, following the capture of German defender Patrick Bauer from Portuguese side Martimo last week.
Both join up immediately with Luzon’s squad for pre-season training.
