Tony Burman is concerned by Dartford's schedule as they chase a National League South play-off place.

A busy spell continues as Darts travel to Hayes & Yeading on Tuesday night (7.45pm) looking to climb back into the top five following defeat by Concord at the weekend.

Manager Burman said: "We’re getting into the nitty-gritty side of the season.

"My problem, like other managers, is how are we going to get through till the end of March doing the Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday.

"If we come through March in a similar position to what we are now, or higher, then it will get interesting and we’ll have to see what happens.

"It’s disappointing we’ve lost to Concord but we’ve got to move on quickly to Tuesday and the things we didn’t do well we’ve got to try and put right, similar to what we did last Tuesday at Gosport, where the second half was one of our best performances of the season."

Burman will look after his squad in the run-in but players must also take responsibility for their fitness.

He said: "It’s up to us to try and manage the amount of games and try and manage the players’ fitness.

"They’ve got to also look after themselves and just try and get into the best shape they can be for the coming games.

"We need to have a squad together and strong and hopefully we can do that."

In-form Hayes & Yeading drew 0-0 at Ebbsfleet on Saturday, a match that saw two players sent off from either side.
