Dartford's miserable away record continued at Macclesfield on Saturday when they conceded three goals in as many minutes at the Moss Rose.

The home side went close early on through Danny Whitaker and Scott Boden, but it was the Darts who opened the scoring after 12 minutes.

Matt Fry's long ball forward found Adam Birchall and the Gillingham loanee was brought down in the box by Macc keeper Rhys Taylor. Matt Godden stepped up to score his fifth goal in six games since joining on loan from Scunthorpe.

Darts goalkeeper Alan Julian pulled off good saves to deny Danny Rowe and Andy Halls but a groin injury forced him off at half-time.

That meant a debut for former Gills stopper Tommy Forecast (pictured), whose loan spell from Chelmsford is due to expire on Sunday.

Forecast was picking the ball out of his net just 21 minutes after coming on. A sliced clearance fell to Boden, who smashed the ball in from close range.

Connor Jennings - like Godden, on loan from Scunthorpe - then put the game beyond Dartford with a quickfire double.

He followed up to score after seeing a shot hit the crossbar, and then volleyed in Jack Mackreth's cross to send Dartford away empty-handed.

Tony Burman's side have now lost their last four away games, and seven of their last eight on the road. They are 22nd, two points from safety, ahead of Tuesday's home game against Wrexham (7.45pm).
