Tony Burman this week hailed the growing maturity of Dartford’s player-of-the-year Lee Noble.

Noble, who swept the board at the club's end-of-season awards night, signed a new contract at Princes Park before the season had finished – once he knew manager Tony Burman was also staying.

His combative style has got him into trouble in the past but Noble is now starting to become a complete midfield player.

Burman, who signed Noble from Brentwood in 2008, said: "He’s been with us for a long time and he’s maturing as the seasons go on.

"Lee’s got a style of play. He wants to win – that’s it.

"He’s little in frame but he’s got a massive heart and people certainly don’t like playing against him.

"He’s controlled a lot of the aggression in his play and it’s paid off."
