Dartford could switch to daytime training as early as this summer if they win promotion to the National League.
Relegated at the end of last season, Darts are working to a three-year plan on and off the field in their bid to return.
But the recent form of Tony Burman’s side suggests they may even get back to non-league’s top flight at the first time of asking. hat would mean a likely change from training on Monday and Thursday nights to three mornings a week.
Dartford co-chairman Steve Irving said: "I don’t think you can ever pick and choose when you go up. If it happens, it happens and we deal with it sensibly from there.
"In terms of our plans, it would be a little bit earlier than we’re scheduling and it would bring things forward a little bit. We would have to go into that new situation and continue to be sensible.
"If we did get promoted this year, it would be a couple of years earlier than we had planned but we bring those plans into place as we had scheduled to do. We’ll have to face up to things as they come along."
Dartford’s income streams were hit earlier this season by early exits from both the FA Cup and FA Trophy and that followed a summer without any pre-season friendlies because of major pitch work at Princes Park.
Mr Irving said: "We’re still preparing for the future of the structure of the club, making sure we’ve got everything sound for the future.
"It made things a little bit more difficult in terms of not winning any prize money in the cup competitions and we lost pre-season, so we have been using some of our reserves.
"But moving forward, we’re getting things in good order so that as we progress over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be ready again to challenge for the Premier Division.
"We are looking at the finances carefully, making sure we maintain stability and use financial common sense as best we can but also allowing to develop the club from within.
"Yes, it was a blow not earning that money but we’ll have to make it up somewhere else."
