Charlton 2 Queens Park Rangers 2
Charlton caretaker manager Phil Parkinson was ordered to the stand in a furious finale as the side's failure to beat Queens Park Rangers equalled the club's worst winless sequence for 30 years.
The Boxing Day point stretched this season's depressing saga to 15 games while Parkinson still awaits a first win in seven attempts.
It could have been worse as Rangers looked to have won the game deep into second half stoppage time through substitute Emmanuel Ledesma only for referee Paul Taylor to penalise Dexter Blackstock for pushing.
Parkinson had been banished to the stand a minute earlier for protesting after Charlton had a penalty appeal turned down.
"It was our third strong appeal for a penalty after one of their players handled," said Parkinson.
"When you make three strong appeals you usually get one. I was just so frustrated.
"I know Rangers were unhappy at having a goal disallowed but it was clear that Dexter Blackstock was holding down Martin Cranie."
He added: "I thought our second half performance was much better than the first. We were tentative in the first period and we were not competitive.
"That changed in the second half when we looked like a side in the top half of the table."
Charlton had to twice come from behind to take a point after falling beind to Lee's Cook's 18th minute free-kick.
Midfielder Nicky Bailey headed a 49th minute equaliser from Lloyd Sam's cross only for Blackstock to regain Rangers' lead from close range in the 68th minute.
The highly combative Bailey dragged Charlton back into the game with a diving 80th minute header after Rangers' goalkeeper Radek Cerney had punched out weakly.
Rangers dominated the closing stages when Charlton were forced to defend in depth.
