Charlton manager Phil Parkinson praised his team's attitude after they came close to picking up their first Championship away win since September.

Although the game ended goalless, Charlton had enough chances to take the points in the second half.

Parkinson said: "There are a lot of positives for us.

"The attitude of the players was excellent and we looked a strong side.

"There were no weak links and we looked a strong and resilient side. We had a couple of chances to go and win it but it just didn't quite fall for us.

"All in all I can't have any complaints about the spirit and togetherness of the team."

Charlton had appeals for a penalty ignored by referee Michael Oliver 10 minutes into the second half.

Chris Dickson got behind Darren Moore and the defender seemed to bring him down but nothing was given.

Dickson cut in from the left soon after and curled a shot towards goal, but Moore was able to clear the effort off the line.

There were late chances for both sides when Hugo Colace blocked a shot from Dickson and Addicks keeper Rob Elliot kept out a dipping shot from former Addicks player Jamal Campbell-Ryce.
