Dartford striker Andy Pugh faces a long spell on the sidelines after breaking his leg on Saturday.
Pugh had to be stretchered off 13 minutes into the pre-season friendly against Colchester United.
The club confirmed after the game, which Darts lost 1-0, that he had suffered a double break to his left leg.
Pugh, the former Gillingham and Welling player, joined Dartford in 2014.
He has since made 158 appearances for the club, scoring 50 goals, although he has had his fair share of bad luck when it comes to injuries.
From the serious to the bizarre, Pugh has experienced a range of problems although last season he seemed to be over that and back to his best.
Now he must watch his team-mates try to mount another promotion push in National League South under new joint-managers Jamie Coyle and Adam Flanagan.
