Dartford dropped points for the first time this season after being held by Tonbridge in a National League South derby at Princes Park.
Jack Jebb marked his 26th birthday with a stunning equaliser after Tommy Wood brilliantly headed Tonbridge infront.
Jebb picked out Dan Roberts as early as the fourth minute and Tonbridge keeper Jon Henly needed to tip over his right-foot drive.
But thereafter, space was limited for the home side as Tonbridge kept their shape well, closed them down quickly and never gave the hosts a chance to settle.
There was a running battle between Tonbridge striker Wood and Darts skipper Tom Bonner that kept referee Wayne Cartmel on his toes.
The visitors went ahead on 24 minutes when Joe Turner brilliantly crossed from the right, and Wood used his strength to head in at the far post.
Aaron Smith-Joseph shot straight at Darts keeper Dan Wilks and the home side were running out of ideas as the half came to a close. It needed a moment of magic to get them back on level terms before the break.
Jebb sent a free-kick against the upright from 30 yards a minute into stoppage time and he was clearly getting his range as he found the back of the net from even further out 60 seconds later.
A ball over the top saw keeper Henly rush out of his area to clear from Azeez but the ball fell perfectly for Jebb who stepped forward and superbly sent a first-time right-foot 'side-winder' into the vacant goal from 35 yards.
Darts should have been ahead within 20 seconds of the second half starting, but Roberts turned Azeez's low shot wide of the near post.
Turner shot wide for Tonbridge at the other end and Darts turned to substitute Danny Leonard to inject some pace just before the hour mark.
He immediately produced a clever backheel to set up Roberts, who went past two before being denied by Henly.
Tonbridge were limited to two long-range Tom Beere efforts until eight minutes before time when they thought they scored the winner. Beere's free-kick was headed in by substitute Ibrahim Olutade but the offside flag went up to cut short any Tonbridge celebrations.
But the visitors defended well and kept Dartford to few clear-cut openings in the second half, deservedly taking a point for their efforts, although the hosts remain two points clear at the top of the table.
