Osei Sankofa has joined Southend on a free transfer following his release by Charlton. The 23-year-old right-back ended almost a decade at The Valley when his contract was not renewed in June.

He links up with former Addicks striker James Walker at Roots Hall. The two are products of Charlton's Academy.
