Injury-hit Dartford were beaten by newly-promoted Halifax in The Skrill Premier after conceding two goals in four second-half minutes.
The Darts were missing defenders Tyrone Sterling and Matt Fry and talismanic winger Ryan Hayes in West Yorkshire.
And the home side dominated proceedings at The Shay, with goalkeeper Alan Julian denying Lee Gregory and Matty Pearson in a one-sided first half.
Marc Roberts headed wide from a Scott McManus cross for Halifax, before Jason Prior nodded over for Dartford at the other end.
But the hosts went in front on 49 minutes when Gregory intercepted James Rogers' under-hit backpass and rounded Julian.
Halifax quickly made it 2-0. Julian spilled a powerful shot from Gregory and Kevin Holsgrove reacted fastest to tuck home the rebound.
