Dartford have completed their third summer signing.
Striker Dan Roberts is the latest arrival at Princes Park, joining from fellow National South side Slough.
Roberts scored home and away against Dartford in the 2019/20 season, reaching double figures after stepping up from lower-league Windsor.
Darts boss Steve King has kept tabs on the 23-year-old and believes he’ll be an asset for their promotion push.
“He’s someone I’ve admired for a little while,” King told Dartford TV.
“He got goals for Windsor then got a move to Slough and his first season he was in double figures there.
“For someone in your early 20s to score double figures in your first season coming from another step I think shows a lot of capabilities and if you watch some of his goals, they’re with his head, with his right foot, with his left foot.
“He works ever so hard, he’s a nuisance on the pitch, he’s got that pest value as well.
“I just felt it didn’t quite work out for him this year, for different reasons, but it was one I quite liked and I thought he could come and be an asset to us.”
Luke Wanadio and Tyrique Hyde were the club’s first summer signings, both returning for second spells.
King said: “I’ve probably gone away from my principles and morals a little bit.
“The pair of them probably thought the grass was greener on the other side and realised it wasn’t.
“Normally I don’t go back but they both approached me and said how much they wanted to come back.
“We sat and had a good conversation, I could feel they really wanted to be here.”
