Dartford forward Charlie Sheringham has joined Chelmsford City on a permanent basis.
Sheringham has signed a one-year deal with the Clarets and will come up against Darts in National League South next season.
The 33-year-old had a successful loan spell at the Essex outfit last season, scoring five goals in as many games. That saw him recalled by Dartford boss Steve King and he subsequently scored a hat-trick in the 3-0 home win over Billericay in January.
He finished the campaign with four goals from six starts and three substitute outings for Dartford.
Former Ebbsfleet and Welling striker Sheringham said: “It’s good, I’m really excited to be here.
“I was here on loan at Christmas time last season, and I had a great time, scored a few goals as well, and that was the main reason for me coming back.”
Sheringham has been made vice-captain by Chelmsford boss Robbie Simpson.
Dartford have already signed striker Dan Roberts from Slough this week.
