Two first-half goals earned Welling three vital points at Lincoln on Saturday.

Dominic Vose put the visitors in front on 20 minutes before Jason Williams added a second just after the half hour.

The home side had a goal disallowed for offside and had a decent Delano Sam-Yorke effort saved by Jonathan Henly before Welling went in front.

Vose cut in from out wide before drilling an effort into the far corner.

Williams doubled the advantage 11 minutes later, going clean through and slotting past keeper Paul Farman.

After the break Williams almost added a third, but saw his effort clip the frame of the goal.

Lincoln started to dominate possession, but couldn't find a way past the Welling backline, and with time running out, things got worse for the home side when Sam-Yorke saw red for a second yellow card.

The result leaves Wellling three points from safety, as their closest rivals, Alfreton, also won - 1-0 at fellow strugglers Dartford.
