Welling manager Andy Ford has revealed that Craig Braham-Barrett has rejected a trial at Nottingham Forest.

The Championship outfit had expressed an interest in the Wings left-back but the former Charlton youngster has decided not to take up the offer of a trial at the City Ground.

Ford said: "Craig was going to go there on trial as they wanted to have a look at him but that's not going to happen now.

"Personally, I think it's a bit too early for him. He will be better six months down the line with a good season at this level under his belt."

Meanwhile, Ford has welcomed Welling's FA Cup draw. The Wings will host either Horsham YMCA or Whyteleafe in the second qualifying round on September 27.

Ford said: "It was important to get a home draw and now we need to make sure that we do our jobs right and get through to the next round."
