Keen photographers can win a total of £200 in this year's Sandwich Photographic Competition.

It is being organised by the Mercury and Mike Dallen from B.and T. Builders in Sandwich, who is a member of Sandwich Chamber of Commerce.

The competition was held for the first time last year and was a great success, with 72 entries.

This year there are two categories, Signs of Spring and Places to Visit Within 12 Miles of Sandwich.

Each category winner will receive £50 cash, with the two runners-up in each category getting £25 each.

All winners and runners-up will also be treated to a dinner at a Sandwich restaurant and the prizes will be presented at the Guildhall.
