Former Deal school boy Andrew Warman is gearing up to host a music night to raise cash for the charity he’s supporting by running the London Marathon.
Andrew, known by many as Pandy, is supporting Children With Cancer at the evening at Deal Welfare Club next Saturday, March 5.
There will be live music from Robert Smith and Hiway and a raffle, for which he is appealing for donations.
The former Deal Secondary School pupil, of Davis Avenue now lives in Croyden with his wife Edita. He is father to four children.
He is running the Virgin London marathon on Sunday, April 24, and hopes to raise £1,500.
Last year he supported two charities, by running both the Brighton and London marathons two weeks apart. These were the Kent MS Therapy Centre and Bliss, the charity for infants who are born too early or too poorly. It is an organisation close to his heart, because his sister Julie’s baby Finley died in 2007 after being born 16 weeks premature.
The Dad of four works as a security guard at Great Ormond Street Hospital and he comes back to Deal frequently to see his family and friends - who he still keeps in regular contact with.
