An air ambulance landed in a field off Great Mongeham in Deal.

The helicopter has since taken off after attending what a bystander called "a medical emergency" near St Francis Close.

Police have confirmed they were called to assist in a nearby road. A spokesman said: "We were called to a property in St Richard’s Road at around 11am to assist the South East Coast Ambulance Service with a medical incident."

The air ambulance landed just after noon and the crew returned at about 1pm with no casualty on board.

Air Ambulance, Kent Surrey Sussex, has been approached for a comment.

The ambulance service said that the incident happened at a private address and so was unable to comment.
