Last year he supported two charities, by running both the Brighton and London marathons two weeks apart. These were the Kent MS Therapy Centre and Bliss, the charity for infants who are born too early or too poorly. It is an organisation close to his heart, because his sister Julie’s baby Finley died in 2007 after being born 16 weeks premature.

The Dad of four works as a security guard at Great Ormond Street Hospital and he comes back to Deal frequently to see his family and friends - who he still keeps in regular contact with.

• Andrew Warman’s music night is at Deal Welfare Club, Cowdray Square, Deal, from 7pm next Saturday, March 5. Entry is free with donations going to the charity. For more information on the work it does, visit: www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk.
