A car smashed into a number of stationary vehicles and allegedly drove off without leaving details.

Police are appealing for information after the alleged incident in Sydney Road, Deal on Wednesday night.

Posts on social media described the vehicle as a black hatchback and said the collisions were at about 10.30pm.

A spokesman for the force said: "Kent Police was made aware that a number of vehicles were damaged in Sydney Road during the evening of Wednesday 26 May 2021.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
