Deal: Man arrested over threats to kill in High Street and Mill Hill

A man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill following two incidents at shops in Deal within a matter of minutes.
Police were alerted yesterday morning after a member of staff at a newsagents in the high street was threatened with a knife.
A wallet and sat-nav were taken in the break-in between 6.50am and 7.25am, while the window of a garage was also smashed.
Just a few minutes later at about 8am, police were called to another disturbance at a shop in Mill Hill where the victim was also threatened by a man.
Officers then arrested a 35-year-old man from Sholden in the town at 8.20am in Arthur Road.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary, going equipped for theft and threats to kill.
He has been released on police bail until February 22 while inquiries are ongoing.
