He is the best around, and now a wet shaving expert from Deal can be seen in action online.
Enver (Efe) Yeshibulut, who owns King’s Barbers Male Grooming in Deal High Street, celebrated being shortlisted for a national award by getting straight to work – on KentOnline reporter Alistair Iveson
Mr Yeshibulut, who opened the barbers in August, will compete in March against 14 other shaving professionals in a bid to claim the South East title of Best Wet Shaving Barber.
"It was a really close shave and my face felt really smooth for a few days after” - reporter Ali Iveson
If he wins the regional heat, he will then go on to the national final against seven top barbers from across the country at the Barber UK event in May at the Birmingham NEC. The competition is in its third year.
KentOnline’s filming crew went to his shop so Alistair could experience the luxury of Mr Yeshibulut’s prowess with a cut-throat razor.
Clean shaven and pampered, Alistair said: “It was the first time I have had a wet shave and I would recommend it.
“He gave me all the extras: a face mask, the steam on my face and after shave. I felt very pampered. It was a really close shave and my face felt really smooth for a few days after.”
Mr Yeshibulut has worked for the first store of Ted Baker Grooming Room in Central London, and for Haks & Oscar, winners of Best Barber 2015 Central London and Best Barber 2015 Overall London.
He said: “I have worked at some of the best barbershops in London, and am confident that my wet shaving skills are pretty good!”
When we asked him to describe how he mastered his art, He said: “I can’t tell you my secrets!”
After all – he’s in it to win it!
