Chemical spill closes road

The road leading to Dover's Western Docks has been closed this morning following a chemical spill.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 11am when a drum of sodium nitrate fell from a flat bed lorry.
A cordon was set up around the area and the road leading to the docks was closed as a precaution.
Long queues of traffic built up along Snargate Street and Townwall Street.
On Monday, the A20 out of Dover was closed when the turbo blew on a transporter carrying four horses and spilled gallons of fuel onto the road. The fuel mixed with heavy rain to turn the road into what was described as "a skating rink".
Once the emergency services had dealt with the spillage, Highways Agency staff gritted the road.
