Children and staff from a Dover primary school were involved in an accident on the A20 at Folkestone on Monday morning, June 7.
A total of 12 children and four adults from Guston Church of England Primary School were taken to hospital but none of them suffered any serious injuries.
Police were called to the incident on the A20 off junction 13 of the M20 at 9.45am when a coach hit a roundabout at the bottom of the slip road and ended up in the middle of the roundabout.
One of the possible causes being investigated is that the vehicle's brakes failed.
The coach was one of four taking the whole school on an outing to Folkestone. Paramedics and ambulance crews attended and assessed those who were injured. Eight children were taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford and four went to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate.
Police Chief Inspector Geoff Wood said it was fortunate that the coach had not rolled or fallen over, otherwise the injuries would have been much worse.
Parents of those involved were contacted direct.
