White Cliffs Symphonic Wind (WCSW) band director, Graham Harvey, presented Home-Start with a cheque for £1,500 following a performance with P&O’s workplace choir.
The concert took place at Dover Town Hall and was a sell-out.
Mr Harvey said: “It was all a fantastic success complete with a standing ovation from everyone at the end.”
Home-Start, in Noah’s Ark Road, looks after families with children who are in crisis.
Scheme manager Tracy Perrow accepted the donation at Beacon Church Hall in Beaconsfield Road, Dover.
It was given to the charity in front of the band at a WCSW weekly rehearsal.
Nik Wickham from P&O’s workplace choir was there.
Mrs Perrow said: “The money will go into the families and volunteer fund which pays for training for volunteers and support for our families in times of crisis.
“It could help them with shopping or any emergency supplies.”
More than 30 members of the charity’s team attended the concert to show their full support.
Mrs Perrow said: “We were absolutely delighted that they picked our charity.”
