Christmas is a time for love, peace and goodwill. For others it's a time of soulful reflection.

Churches in the area are holding their Christingle crib services on Christmas Eve followed by Midnight Mass, and Christmas Morning Mass.

Meanwhile others who haven't already done so have carol concerts planned.

• St Mary’s Church, Walmer: Carols by Candlelight Service tomorrow (Thursday) at 7pm. A Nativity Crib service is at 11am on Sunday, December 23, Christmas Eve Chrstingle at 4pm, Midnight Mass at 11.30pm, Christmas morning Communion Services at 8am and 9.30am.
