A dance showcase will be held to raise money for a little boy who needs specialist treatment to help him walk.

It is at the Landmark Centre tonight (Friday) and has been organised by Sarah Maynard and Kelly Woodward from Dance Dynamique.

Their troupes will give a performance to remember, demonstrating all they’ve learned in their regular lessons at St Mary’s Primary.

Doors open at 5.45pm for the show at 6pm. Entry is £4 adults and £2 children. There will a bar available.

Theo Knott, five, has cerebral palsy, which affects his legs, arm, balance and vision.

A new treatment called selective dorsal rhizotomy, which finished its trials in the UK in 2014, could be the answer to reducing the spasticity in Theo’s legs.

The fundraising drive aims to raise £50,000.

Last week, the family reached 60% of the target.

In a Facebook post on his dedicated page, his parents Steven Knott and Naomi Morton of College Road, Deal, said: “Thank you everyone who is supporting Theo. August seems so much more realistic now.

"This has been a lot of hard work from everyone in our community. If there’s anyone else that wants to help Theo then please get in touch.”
