People leaving Deal via the A258 may have been delayed this morning due to a car breaking down at Swingate.

Police attended to the scene as a motorist broke down on the road at around 7.56am.

The silver car remained stationary for over an hour, causing disruption to incoming and outgoing traffic.

A string of cars collected on the road which lead all the way up to Ringwould in what is renowned for a busy time of the morning.

The scene was cleared by 9.14am.
